String Arrangements

String arranger for Holy Holy’s Hello My Beautiful World, nominated for Best Rock Album at the ARIA Awards and Australian Album of the Year at the J Awards. The album debuted at #4 on the ARIA Albums Chart and #1 on the ARIA Australian Albums Chart, with two tracks placing in the 2021 Triple J Hottest 100. The title track, “Hello My Beautiful World”, was also recognised by the Environmental Music Prize. Toby created and produced the album’s string arrangements, with performances by The Letter String Trio, including the title track featuring spoken word by Tim Carroll.

Three of those arrangements were later reworked for Holy Holy’s Sweet Bitter Sweet, which was nominated for the 21st Soundmerch Australian Music Prize.

The music featured in this embedded 2026 international tour trailer is “Liberi Noctis”, originally composed and produced by Toby Alexander for BIG Live’s 2025 production of Dracula.

Additional music and orchestral arrangements created for BIG Live’s commercial touring ballet production Dracula, presented across Australia and New Zealand.

Toby’s contribution included the original Act I finale composition “Liberi Noctis”, scene transitions, pre-show and post-show music, and orchestral mock-ups/arrangements of selected classical repertoire, including Mozart’s Lacrimosa and Verdi’s Dies irae. The broader classical repertoire and music direction for the production was selected and curated by BIG Live.
